Conference Championship History
The UCLA women's golf program has won eight conference championships, most recently as a member of the Pac-12 when the Bruins clinched back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018. There have been six different conference championship medalists in UCLA history. Bruins Lilia Vu (2017) and Patty Tavatanakit (2018) were the last two individual winners at the Pac-12 Championships.

A Glimpse at the Bruins
Senior Tiffany Le enters the Big Ten Championships as the team leader in scoring average (72.9). Three Bruins are tied with six rounds under par and two top-20 finishes: Le, Francesca Fiorellini and Natalie Vo. Fiorellini is UCLA's only individual medalist this season, claiming her first career victory at the Bruin Wave Invitational at Valencia Country Club on Feb. 25 with a score of -9, 207.

Vo is the only player on the roster to compete in all nine stroke play events. The San Jose, Calif. native owns a 74.6 scoring average over her 25 rounds of action. Vo is coming off a top-20 result at the PING/ASU Invitational last March, finishing tied for 12th at -1, 215.

Bruins in the WAGR
Freshman Francesca Fiorellini is tabbed at No. 28 in the latest World Amateur Golf Rankings. Fiorellini is the top-ranked Italian amateur and ninth among all Europeans. Senior Tiffany Le is the next-highest-ranked Bruin in the lineup at No. 149 in the WAGR.

Winners at the Bruin Wave Invitational
The Bruins won their first tournament of the season at the 13th edition of the Bruin Wave Invitational, which was hosted by UCLA from Feb. 24-25 at Valencia Country Club. UCLA registered a team score of +6, 870 to win by 22 strokes over runner-up Baylor. Fiorellini, Le and Liu finished 1-2-3 on the individual leaderboard in the 72-golfer field.

Fiorellini secured the first medal of her collegiate career and was the only golfer in the field to finish under par at -9, 207. Fiorellini concluded the final round with birdies on four of her final six holes to improve to 9-under (69-68-70) for the tournament and etch her name into the Bruin Wave Invitational record book with the lowest score in tournament history. Her finish bested Pepperdine golfer Danielle Kang's previous mark of -8, 208 set in 2010.

Fiorellini, competing in her first event of the spring, opened the tournament with the first two sub-70 scores of her collegiate career. She posted a bogey-free 69 in round one with birdies on each of her last two holes on 17 and 18 and followed that performance with five more birdies and just one bogey in round two.

Le, competing as an individual, finished runner-up to Fiorellini with a score of +1, 217 (73-74-70) marking her best placement since arriving to UCLA.

Canales, Fiorellini Represent UCLA at ANWA
Freshman Francesca Fiorellini and senior Caroline Canales both competed at the sixth edition of the Augusta National Women's Amateur (ANWA), golf's premier amateur event, from April 2-5. Canales finished in a tie for 30th (+3; 73-69-77) and was one of 31 competitors to make the cut and advance to the final round at historic Augusta National Golf Club. Fiorellini missed the cut at +6 (77-73).

The first and second rounds of the ANWA were held at Champions Retreat Golf Club. Six members of the UCLA women's golf team have competed at the ANWA (Canales, Fiorellini, Zoe Antoinette Campos, Emma Spitz, Alessia Nobilio and Emilie Paltrinieri).

Campos, Canales Depart UCLA for Pro Ranks
Three-year UCLA letterwinners Zoe Antoinette Campos and Caroline Canales declared they will be embarking on the start of their professional golf careers in the middle of the 2024-25 college season. Campos leaves UCLA as one of the most accomplished golfers in program history, being named a two-time WGCA First Team All-American and All-Pac-12 First Team selection. Campos finished her career tied for fourth program history in wins (6), fifth in under par rounds (43), eighth in scoring average (72.52) and tied for ninth in top-10 finishes (19).

In Campos' last full season, she led UCLA with a 70.7 scoring average and four medals to help the Bruins to a runner-up finish at the 2024 NCAA Championships in Um Holmes' first year as head coach.

Canales was the Bruins' second-best golfer in last year's run to the NCAA title match, being named a WGCA Honorable Mention All-American and ranking second on the team with a 72.6 scoring average. The Calabasas, Calif. native finished her UCLA career ranked 12th in program history with a 73.11 scoring average over 111 rounds plated. Canales claimed one medal and 15 top-10 finishes in 40 tournaments.

Preseason Recognition
Three UCLA women's golfers hauled in several preseason All-America accolades while the team was listed in all three major preseason polls. Zoe Antoinette Campos Campos was a consensus Preseason First Team All-American according to both Golfweek and Golf Channel. Francesca Fiorellini was listed on the Second Team by Golfweek and Third Team by Golf Channel, and Caroline Canales was tabbed to Golf Channel's Third Team.

The Bruins started the 2024-25 season ranked No. 3 in the WGCA Preseason Coaches Poll and No. 4 in both Golfweek and Golf Channel's Preseason Top 25.

Summer Success
Natalie Vo won the 58th California Women's Amateur at The Peninsula Golf and Country Club in San Mateo on July 27, earning her an automatic exemption at U.S. Women's Amateur. Vo defeated Amelia Garibaldi (Fresno State) in the championship match, 2&1, with the help of an excellent approach shot on the par-4 17th which fell two feet from the pin to set up the title-clinching putt. Vo's title marked the second straight year and the fourth time ever a Bruins' golfer won the California Women's Amateur. Previous winners include Kate Villegas (2023), Ty Akabane (2018), Cindy Scholefield (1986) and Mary Enright (1980).

Vo and Zoe Antoinette Campos made their second and fifth U.S. Women's Amateur appearances, respectively, at Southern Hills Country Club in Oklahoma in August. Campos placed third in the stroke play portion with scores of 72-68 (-2) before being ousted in the Round of 64 by Bailey Shoemaker (USC), 1UP.

The B1G Day is Here
UCLA officially joined the Big Ten Conference Aug. 2, ushering in a new era in the Bruins' storied and illustrious athletic tradition. UCLA, along with previous conference foes Oregon, USC and Washington, have moved to an 18-team Big Ten Conference with a footprint spanning from the Pacific to the Atlantic.

UCLA's approaching membership in the Big Ten Conference was initially announced more than two years ago, on June 30, 2022.

"The day has finally come," said Martin Jarmond, The Alice and Nahum Lainer Family Director of Athletics. "After two years of planning and preparation, UCLA is proud and excited to join the Big Ten Conference. I am grateful for the energy and effort that has been put into shaping this pivotal move by our hard-working staff members, as well as our coaches and student-athletes. The investments we have made into our programs and student-athletes over the past 24 months have set us up to continue to compete at the elite level that defines UCLA Athletics."

Three of the Big Ten's newest members, UCLA (three), USC (three) and Washington (one), have combined for all seven of the conference's NCAA Women's Golf Championships.
