Men's Tennis Quartet Set to Kick Off New Season

TULSA, Okla. โ The 2025-26 UCLA men's tennis season is set to begin Saturday at the University of Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center, site of the ITA All-American Championships. Play begins Saturday and continues through Sunday, Sept. 28.
In action for the Bruins will be Spencer Johnson, Andy Nguyen, Aadarsh Tripathi and Emon van Loben Sels. All four players (Johnson โ 19, van Loben Sels โ 36, Tripathi โ 70 and Nguyen โ 112) enter 2025-26 part of the ITA's preseason singles rankings. The doubles tandem of Johnson/van Loben Sels is No. 8, while Nguyen/Tripathi is No. 81.
Pre-qualifying matches begin Saturday and continue through Sunday. Qualifying takes place the following two days. Main-draw action starts Wednesday, Sept. 24 and extends through the end of the week. Draw sizes: singles prequalifying (160), singles qualifying (64), singles main draw (64), doubles prequalifying (32), doubles qualifying (32) and doubles main draw (32).
The ITA and Cracked Racquets will provide coverage of the ITA All-American Championships.

Ten players (eight main draw quarterfinalists and two feed-in consolation finalists) will qualify for the NCAA Championships singles tournament. The four doubles main-draw semifinalists will earn spots in the NCAA Championships doubles draw.
