No. 14 Women’s Golf to Host Bruin Wave Invitational Presented by Capillus

LOS ANGELES – The No. 14-ranked UCLA women's golf team hosts the 14th edition of the Bruin Wave Invitational presented by Capillus at Valencia Country Club in Santa Clarita, Calif. from Feb. 23-24. UCLA has co-hosted the event with Pepperdine since its inception in 2010.
The two-day, 54-hole stroke play event begins with two rounds on Monday, Feb. 23 and ends with one round on Tuesday, Feb. 24. The tournament is open to spectators both days.
UCLA looks to defend its title after winning the 2025 Bruin Wave Invitational with a score of +6, 870.

UCLA placed third out of 16 teams at the Alice and John Wallace Classic at Monterey Country Club on Monday, Feb. 16. The Bruins shot +18, 870 (293-284-293) over the three days of competition.
The only two teams to place ahead of UCLA were tournament champion USC (-17, 835) and runner-up Eastern Michigan (+9, 861). Eastern Michigan jumped ahead of UCLA in the team standings on the final day of the Alice and John Wallace Classic after shooting a -2, 282.
True freshman Kacey Ly led the Bruins with her second straight top-5 finish, tying for fourth in the field of 96 with an even-par score of 213 (73-69-71). Sophomore Angela Liu also placed in the top 20 in 12th place at +4, 217 (73-72-72). Junior Jennifer Seo, who competed as an individual, logged the first top-20 result of her career in a tie for 18th. Seo opened the tournament with a career-low -1, 70 in the first round before finishing at +7, 220 (70-77-73).
Ly Repeats as B1G Freshman of the Week
Kacey Ly earned her second straight Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor on Thursday, Feb, 19.
Ly led the Bruins at the Alice & John Wallace Classic at Monterey Country Club in Palm Desert, Calif. (Feb. 14-16) with her second consecutive top-5 finish. The Temple City, Calif. native tied for fourth in a field of 96 with an even-par score of 213 (73-69-71). Ly recorded only two bogeys over the final two rounds and notched her third sub-70 score of the season on day two with a -2, 69. Ly's round two score was the lowest 18-hole total for any Bruin during the tournament
Ly performance at the Alice & John Wallace Classic follows her career-best finish at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge on Feb. 3 where she placed fourth and shot a 54-hole career low of -3, 210. Her result was instrumental in help helping the Bruins win their first tournament of the 2025-26 season.
