LINCOLN, Neb. โ The No. 7 UCLA softball team dropped its series opener at No. 9 Nebraska, 4-1, Friday night at Bowlin Stadium, snapping a 22-game winning streak.

The Bruins (28-4, 9-1 Big Ten) managed just four hits against Nebraska pitchers Alexis Jensen and Jordy Frahm.
ย
Megan Grant accounted for UCLA's lone run, going 1-for-3 to extend her hitting streak to 17 games. She led off the fourth inning with the Bruins' first hit of the game. One batter later, Kaniya Bragg singled to right field to put runners on the corners, and freshman Bri Alejandre drove in Grant with an RBI single up the middle.
ย
Senior right-hander Taylor Tinsley battled in the circle, holding Nebraska (25-5, 7-0 Big Ten) hitless through the first three innings. Hannah Coor broke up the no-hit bid with a one-out single in the fourth.
