LOS ANGELES – The No. 7 UCLA softball team completes the second half of its two-week road trip with a top-10 series versus No. 9 Nebraska at Bowlin Stadium in Lincoln, Neb., from March 27-29. The Bruins (28-3, 9-0 Big Ten) and Huskers (24-5, 6-0 Big Ten) clash in Game 1 on Friday at 6:02 p.m. (PT) on FS1 with Noah Reed (play-by-play) and Sydney Supple (analyst) on the call.

Games 2 and 3 will be available for streaming on BigTenPlus.com. The two programs enter the series on a pair of double-digit winning streaks with the Bruins winning 22 straight and the Huskers victorious in each of their last 13. This week's games mark UCLA's first in the Cornhusker State since the 1987 Women's College World Series in Omaha.

• UCLA enters Week 8 on a 22-game winning streak, good for second-longest in the nation.
• UCLA has run-ruled its opponent in seven straight games, good for the longest streak in program history (previous: 6 in 2018).
• Kelly Inouye-Perez became the 55th head coach in NCAA Division I history to win 900 games last week in Game 2 at Rutgers.
• Inouye-Perez became UCLA softball's all-time winningest head coach earlier this season with her 888th career victory.
• Kaniya Bragg was named Big Ten Player of the Week after scoring in 7-of-8 plate appearances in Games 1 & 2 at Rutgers.
• Megan Grant (2.320) and Jordan Woolery (1.892) rank first and third in the country in OPS, respectively.

• UCLA's roster consists of 10 returners and 11 newcomers, including six true freshmen and five incoming transfers.
• The Bruins enter their second year in the Big Ten after finishing second with a 17-5 conference record in their debut season.
• Entering 2026, Inouye-Perez ranks seventh all-time and second among active head coaches with a .796 winning percentage.

NOT JINXING IT
• UCLA enters Week 8 on a 22-game winning streak after its third straight Big Ten series at Rutgers last week. The Bruins' 22 straight wins are second-most in the country behind No. 2 Texas, who is on a 26-game winning streak. UCLA's last 20-game winning streak came during the 2023 season when it won 25 straight contests. Head coach Kelly Inouye-Perez has had three separate 25-game winning streaks in her career, but has never topped that mark.
• UCLA's 9-0 start to conference play is its second-best opening stretch since 2022, when it won a program-best 10 straight in the Pac-12 Conference.

HOMER HAPPY BRUINS
• UCLA has surpassed 100 home runs for the second consecutive season under hitting coach Lisa Fernandez. The Bruins have reached that milestone only one other time in program history, setting a single-season record with 108 home runs in 2010. UCLA is on pace to surpass that mark, averaging 3.22 homers per game, which projects to 167 over the team's 52-game regular season.
• UCLA has homered in 23 straight games dating back to Feb. 14, which is good for the longest active streak in the country. The Bruins have multiple dingers in each of their last 16 games played with 60 homers over that span (3.75 HR/GM). Additionally, UCLA is averaging 2.68 home runs per game during its 22-game winning streak.
• All nine spots of UCLA's lineup hit at least one home run during its three-game series at Rutgers (March 21-23). Freshman Bri Alejandre led the Bruins with four round-trippers over that sweep.
• UCLA has hit back-to-back jacks 10 times this season and six times over its last seven games. The Bruins hit back-to-back-to-back home runs twice across that stretch. Before this season, the last time UCLA went back-to-back-to-back was in February 2022.
• UCLA has scored 52.2 percent of its runs this season via the longball (190 of 364 total runs scored). Ten different Bruins have homered a total of 100 times this season, which ranks second in the country behind Oklahoma.
• Six different Bruins have hit a total of nine grand slams this season. Jordan Woolery has hit a team-high three grand slams this season. Catcher Alexis Ramirez is right behind her with two grand slams of her own.

USA SOFTBALL COLLEGIATE PLAYER OF THE YEAR WATCH LIST
• UCLA seniors Megan Grant, Taylor Tinsley and Jordan Woolery were named to the prestigious 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 50 Watch List, it was announced Jan. 21. The full list is comprised of 53 student-athletes from 24 universities. This marks the third straight year Grant and Woolery have appeared on the Watch List, and the second straight for Tinsley. Last season, Grant and Woolery were USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Finalists with Grant making the cut for the Top 25 and Woolery advancing to the Top 10.
• The Top 25 Finalists for the award will be announced April 29. While an athlete does not have to be on the Watch List to be considered for the Top 25, the eventual USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year will come from the Top 25 Finalists. Two Bruins have received the honor a total of three times. Rachel Garcia was a back-to-back winner of the award in 2018 and 2019 and Stacey Nuveman won the award in 2002. Six UCLA student-athletes have been a Top 3 Finalist for the award a total of nine times, most recently accomplished by Maya Brady in 2023.
