April 13, 2026 | Baseball
LOS ANGELES – Junior right-handed pitcher Logan Reddemann of the No. 1-ranked UCLA baseball team received multiple weekly accolades following his outstanding performance in Friday night's 4-1 win over Rutgers.
Reddemann collected a host of national honors this week, earning Golden Spikes Player of the Week, College Baseball Foundation Pitcher of the Week, Perfect Game Pitcher of the Week, and Big Ten Pitcher of the Week, and was also selected to Baseball America's Team of the Week. His résumé-building outing at Rutgers featured a record-tying 18 strikeouts over 8.0 innings, leading a Bruins staff that totaled 30 Ks, just one shy of the NCAA single-game record, in a 4-1, 14-inning win. He allowed only two hits and one run and closed his night by striking out 11 of the final 12 batters. His 18 punchouts matched Rob Henkel's mark set in 2000, and the start marked the deepest outing of his career after previously maxing out at 6.1 innings.
Nationally, Reddemann ranks second in wins, fourth in strikeouts (79), and fifth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (9.88).
UCLA hosts UC Santa Barbara tomorrow at 7 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
