No. 10 Softball Rallies for 13-11 Victory at Cal State Fullerton

The Bruins (34-5) entered the seventh inning trailing by a run, 11-10, with the top of their lineup due up. Sophomore Rylee Slimp led off by legging out a double hit into right-center field. Senior Jordan Woolery drove Slimp in with a game-tying RBI triple – the seventh of her career – that dropped in front of the Titans' (24-12) diving right fielder.
The next batter, Kaniya Bragg, redeemed her called-strike-three from earlier in the game with a go-ahead two-run homer to opposite field to give UCLA a 13-11 lead. Redshirt freshman Aleena Garcia helped set up the comeback with a solo shot off the first pitch of her at-bat in the sixth inning.
Senior Taylor Tinsley pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless relief to close the ballgame. Tinsley (19-3) allowed only one hit and struck out two batters.
Megan Grant also enjoyed a standout offensive performance. The San Bruno, California native went 2-for-4 with a two-run blast for her 26th homer of the year, tying the Big Ten single-season record she set as a junior in 2025. Grant's homer came in a six-run first inning for UCLA.
Five of the Bruins' nine hits were home runs. Redshirt junior Alexis Ramirez hit a grand slam in the first inning and freshman Jolyna Lamar hit a go-ahead two-run shot in the third.
