Levu Receives ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove
June 17, 2026 | Baseball
LOS ANGELES -ย UCLA junior first baseman Mulivai Levu has been named an ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winner for the second consecutive season, solidifying his place as one of the premier defensive infielders in college baseball.
ย
Levu becomes the first Bruin ever to win multiple Gold Gloves.
ย
The Gold Glove Awards are presented annually by Rawlings and selected by the ABCA. These prestigious awards are chosen by the ABCA All-America Committee for each Division.
ย
Levu followed up last year's breakout defensive campaign with another dominant season at first base, committing just two errors all year while posting a .996 fielding percentage. He converted 446 putouts, added 21 assists, and played a key role in 42 double plays, anchoring a UCLA infield that once again ranked among the nation's best.
ย
This marks Levu's second straight Gold Glove after a near-flawless 2025 season in which he committed just one error in 569 chances, finishing with an elite .998 fielding percentage, 517 putouts, and 51 assists.
ย
Levu is now one of only a handful of Bruins to earn the prestigious honor since its inception in 2007, joining Roch Cholowsky (2025), Griffin Canning (2017), Beau Amaral (2012), and Pat Valaika (2013).
