2009 - Redshirted both the indoor and outdoor seasons to recover from ankle surgery.
2008 - Earned outdoor All-American honors with an 11th-place finish in the discus (176-1) at NCAAs ... Also tied for 14th in the shot put (58-9.25) ... Finished fourth in the discus (187-00) and 12th in the shot put (56-10.75) at West Regionals ... Placed third in the shot with a lifetime-best throw of 61-6.75 and seventh in the discus (178-3) at Pac-10s ... Runner-up in both the shot (58-11.25) and disc (187-4, season-best) against USC ... RJ/JJK Open shot (56-1.25) and discus (172-2) champion ... Cal/Nevada runner-up in the shot (59-9.75) ... In indoor track, earned All-American honors with his seventh-place finish in the shot put at NCAAs (61-00.25, lifetime-best) ... Won the UW Last Chance shot put competition (60-10).
Summer 2007 - Won the USATF Junior National Championship discus crown (184-5, 1.75 kg).
2007 - Just missed a spot in the NCAA discus final with his 13th-place finish in prelims ... Finished ninth in the shot (57-7.50) and 12th in the discus (182-9) at the West Region Championships ... Finished eighth in both the shot (58-8) and discus (189-6) at the Pac-10 Championships ... Against USC, finished second in the discus (186-4) and fourth in the shot put (59-3) ... Won the "B" section of the discus at the Texas Relays (193-4) and then competed in the "A" section where he threw a lifetime-best 200-5 to finish second overall ... That mark ranks sixth all-time at UCLA ... In indoor track, was an NCAA provisional qualifier with a best mark of 58-11.25.
