Office Information

The UCLA Athletic Communications Office serves as a resource and liaison to media outlets that wish to cover UCLA Athletics events/teams/stories for editorial purposes. The office is located on campus in the first floor of the J.D. Morgan Intercollegiate Athletics Center. It is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The office phone number is (310) 206-7870 and the office e-mail address is si@athletics.ucla.edu. A full list of office personnel, including sport assignments and contact information, is listed below.

Interview Requests

All requests to interview coaches, staff, student-athletes or their families must be submitted through the Athletic Communications Office (see staff directory and sport assignments below). Violation of this policy via direct outreach may result in denial or limitation of future access.

Credential Policy

Credential requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of each competition or event (48 hours for football, men's and women's basketball and gymnastics), and should be submitted on behalf of the reporter or photographer by an editor or assignment editor. Media credentials for coverage of UCLA Athletics programs are issued at the sole discretion of the Athletics Communications office. Credentials are granted on a case-by-case basis, space permitting, to reporters and employees of media outlets affiliated with major news-gathering organizations, on specific assignment. Credentials are non-transferable and may be used only by the person to whom they are issued.

Credentialed media working UCLA Athletics competitions or events are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner, which includes refraining from requesting photographs with or autographs from UCLA coaches, staff, student-athletes and alumni.

Issuance of a media credential for one event does not guarantee approval for future events. UCLA Athletics reserves the right to revoke a media credential at any time.

Media can apply for football, men's basketball and women's basketball credentials online at the link below.
