The Matadors won 27-30, 25-30, 30-22, 30-26, 15-10 in two hours and 20 minutes before 559 fans. The victory raised CS Northridge's record to 7-4 overall, 3-3 in MPSF play. The Bruins fell to 7-6 overall, 2-4.
Cruising two games to zero and hitting .333, the Bruins watched the Matadors break open a 4-4 tie in Game 3 to score seven straight points, six with CSUN senior Cary Hanson at the service line.
