Senior brothers Kyle and Drew Shackleton had career performances on Friday night at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto as both men ran lifetime-bests and NCAA provisional qualifiers in the 10,000m.
Kyle led the way with a fifth-place run of 29:02.58, bettering his previous best of 30:19.12. Drew was just seconds behind his brother in eighth-place with a new best time of 29:06.49.
With Friday night's performance, Kyle moves to No. 5 all-time in UCLA history, while Drew holds the No. 7 spot. Both men were previously unranked in the 10,000m.
Junior Alex Crabill, who is redshirting the outdoor track season, was 20th in his section of the 5000m, running 14:30.30.
