
Bruins Dispatch Saint Mary's, 6-1

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – The No. 21 UCLA women's tennis team registered a commanding 6-1 win over No. 47 Saint Mary's on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Bruins improve to 2-1 on the season.
In doubles play, seniors Catherine Harrison and Kyle McPhillips downed their opponents 6-3. Shortly after, sophomores Terri Fleming and Maia Magill clinched the doubles point on court 2 with a 6-4 victory.
In singles play, Saint Mary's quickly responded with a straight-set win on court 6 to put a point on the board. The tie was short-lived, however, as UCLA responded with wins on courts 1, 5, and 2 to take the match.
Next up, the Bruins host No. 26 Northwestern on Sunday, Feb. 7, at 12 p.m. The match will take place at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
