College Station, Texas – Senior Jessie Maduka finished off UCLA's indoor track and field season Saturday with a third-place showing in the triple jump, breaking her own school indoor record in the event.

On her fifth attempt of the day, Maduka jumped a lifetime best 13.81m (45-03.75) for third place overall. The mark was good for six points for the Bruins and an almost three-inch improvement on the indoor record she set in UCLA's season opener in January.

The Florida Gators won the men's NCAA title with 40 points, while Georgia took home the women's crown with 61 points. The UCLA women finished tied for 27th with eight points.

With the conclusion of the NCAA Indoor Championships, the Bruins will now set their sights on the outdoor season. UCLA's first outdoor competition will be the Aztec Invitational at San Diego State. The two-day meet will begin on Saturday, Mar. 24.
