Fresh off a strong performance at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals, the UCLA cross country program will head to Stanford, Calif., for the 2018 Pac-12 Championships, set to take place on Friday at the Stanford Golf Course.

After the Bruin men raced to a fourth-place finish at the Pre-Nationals on Oct. 13, the team rose 13 spots to No. 12 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) poll, and currently sits at No. 6 in the West Region.

Still receiving votes in the USTFCCCA poll, the women's team strung together an 11th-place finish at the Pre-Nationals and landed a No. 7 ranking in the West Region.

The 2018 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships will air live on the Pac-12 Network and all six regional networks. The women's race will begin at 11 a.m. (PT), while the men's race will air live at noon.

WOMEN'S PREVIEW
The women's field is led by top-ranked Colorado, which most recently edged the Bruins at the Pre-Nationals by 25 points to place 10th overall. Fourth-ranked Oregon and sixth-ranked Stanford are the two other top-10 teams in the field, while Washington earned a No. 16 ranking in the most recent USTFCCCA poll.
UCLA is receiving votes in the poll, as are Oregon State and Utah. The Bruins have been led this season by sophomore Erika Adler, who led the team at both the Stanford Invitational (21:13.5) and Wisconsin Pre-Nationals (20:44.6), placing ninth and 24th, respectively.

Christina Rice recorded a time of 20:46.0 to finish in 26th place at the Pre-Nationals, while Claire Markey posted a season-best time of 21:22.0 at the meet, good for 66th overall.ย
