CARY, N.C. โ Five members of the UCLA women's tennis team rang in the 2025-26 season last week at the ITA All-American Championships, contested at Cary Tennis Park. Bruins competed in the prequalifying, qualifying and main-draw stages of singles, as well as the doubles main draw.
Ahmani Guichard was the Bruins' standout performer in the initial days of the event, winning four of her five matches played. Kate Fakih added a pair of ranked victories after main-draw action began. Mayu Crossley made her UCLA debut, while Olivia Center and Bianca Fernandez also posted results.
Guichard advanced out of singles qualifying, but had her run ended by No. 72 Mia Slama of NC State. The Bruin recovered to beat No. 99 Divna Ratkovic of Rice in the consolation rounds. Center dealt Eva Alvarez Sande a 6-3, 6-1 defeat in the opening round of singles prequalifying.
