ITA Regional Runs Come to Close for Women's Tennis

SAN DIEGO – The UCLA women's tennis wrapped up its time at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships with two Bruins reaching the singles third round and a doubles pair advancing to the quarterfinals.
Kate Fakih and Ahmani Guichard each won a pair of singles main-draw matches before falling with quarterfinal spots on the line. Kayla Chung triumphed three times on the singles side, reaching the main draw by way of qualifying before adding an extra-match victory. Bianca Fernandez also won a couple times on the singles side.
Fernandez added to her win column in doubles play, teaming with Mayu Crossley to prevail twice. The tandem of Chung and Guichard picked up two doubles wins, as well.
