VICTORIA, B.C. – UCLA Women’s Basketball heads north to face Canada's Senior Women's National Team at W’HOOP IT UP for an exhibition match on July 22, 2026, the program announced in collaboration with Canada Basketball.

“We’re always looking for opportunities to get better, so it was a no-brainer to sign on for W'HOOP IT UP,” said The Michael Price Family UCLA Women’s Head Basketball Coach Cori Close.  “It will be such a great experience for us to play against Canada Basketball’s Senior Women’s National team. We’re excited to create some ‘Remember When’s’ while we’re up north, compete at the highest level, and become closer as a team.”

UCLA and Canada Basketball will play at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, B.C. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. PT with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. PT.

The game will provide fans of Canada Basketball with an opportunity to see the Senior Women's National Team compete on home soil as it prepares for the FIBA Women's Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament in August 2026.
