Men's Tennis Earns Academic Honors From ITA

UCLA received All-Academic acclaim and seven Bruins were recognized individually.

TEMPE, Ariz. – UCLA men’s tennis received All-Academic Team recognition and seven of its student-athletes were recognized as Scholar-Athletes Monday by the ITA. In total, 162 teams and 1,008 student-athletes were honored across Division I.

Head coach Billy Martin has now guided six consecutive teams to All-Academic Team awards. In order to qualify, teams must have recorded grade-point averages (GPAs) of 3.2 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.

Receiving individual honors were seniors Gianluca Ballotta and Will Steinberg, redshirt junior Emon van Loben Sels, sophomores Andrei Crabel and Rudy Quan, redshirt freshman Cassius Chinlund and freshman Bengt Reinhard. Each held a GPA of 3.5 or higher for 2025-26.

Ballotta and van Loben Sels because three-time ITA Scholar-Athletes with their latest selections. Chinlund and Crabel each made it for the second time. Quan, Reinhard and Steinberg were first-timers.
