LOS ANGELES – A league-best seven former UCLA softball players will compete for the three franchises that qualified for the 2027 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) postseason, which runs July 23-27 at Davis Diamond in College Station, Texas.

The postseason begins Thursday with the AUSL Play-In Game, as the third-seeded Portland Cascade (14-11) faces the second-seeded Chicago Bandits (16-9) at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN. The winner advances to the best-of-three AUSL Championship Series.

The Utah Talons (16-9) secured the league's top seed and a direct berth in the championship series by defeating the Bandits in Sunday's regular-season finale. The series opens Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on ABC.

The Talons, led by general manager and current UCLA associate head coach Lisa Fernandez, will attempt to repeat as AUSL champions in the league's second season.
