LOS ANGELES – UCLA Football announced Thursday the addition of three staff members, hiring former Bruins kicker Nick Barr-Mira as director of player development and alumni relations, Brandon Rose as director of player personnel and Que Reid as assistant director of personnel and recruiting.

Brandon has built an outstanding reputation in personnel and recruiting through his experiences in both college football and the NFL, and he'll be a tremendous asset as we continue to build our roster. Que embodies everything we value in our program. He earned the respect of everyone at James Madison as a player and as a member of our staff, and I'm excited to see him begin this next chapter in Westwood. More importantly, all three are outstanding people who fit our culture and will help us continue building a championship program the right way."
This marks a return to Westwood for Barr-Mira, who spent four seasons as a kicker at UCLA from 2019-22. He ranks ninth in program history with 35 career field goals made and 11th with 248 career points. Barr-Mira earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA before playing his final two collegiate seasons at Mississippi State from 2023-24, where he earned a master’s degree in workforce education leadership. Most recently, Barr-Mira served in football operations roles at Mississippi State and Memphis.
In his role, Barr-Mira will support the personal and professional development of UCLA football student-athletes while helping strengthen connections between current Bruins, program alumni and the surrounding community. He will assist with player development initiatives, coordinate opportunities for student-athletes to engage in community service and outreach, and serve as a liaison to former players to foster continued involvement with the program.
Rose arrives at UCLA after serving as associate director of player personnel at Wisconsin from 2024-26. Prior to Wisconsin, he worked as a recruiting specialist at his alma mater, Alabama, from 2021-24. Rose also gained NFL experience as an operations intern with the Buffalo Bills in 2021 and a scouting intern with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2024. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Alabama in 2022.
As director of player personnel, Rose will assist with the evaluation and management of UCLA’s roster while overseeing personnel efforts across high school recruiting and the transfer portal. His responsibilities will include prospect evaluation, roster analysis and identifying prospective student-athletes who fit the program’s positional and personnel needs.
Reid was a defensive standout at James Madison for five seasons from 2018-23, totaling 150 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss and five interceptions in 59 career games. After earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from James Madison, Reid assisted Chesney as an academic adviser for student-athletes in the football program. The Concord, N.C., native joins the Bruins for his first collegiate personnel and recruiting role.
As assistant director of personnel and recruiting, Reid will support UCLA’s transcript evaluation and recruiting efforts, assisting with prospect identification, film evaluation and the organization of the program’s recruiting board. He will also contribute to recruiting operations and help coordinate the evaluation of high school and transfer prospects.
