Ran one indoor 60m race for the Bruins… Appeared in eight races for UCLA during the 2023 outdoor campaign… Made his outdoor Bruin debut at the Rafer Johnson-Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational in the 100m (11th – 10.81), 200m (4th – 21.28) and 4x100m relay (3rd – 40.35) events… The 100m and 200m marks were his season-bests in the respective events… Placed seventh against rival USC in the 200m event at the annual Dual Meet, running 22.02 against the Trojans.

(Indoor): Competed in three meets...At Championships at the Peak, recorded the 9th best time in CSU history for the 200 at 21.64, finishing second...Strong start to the season at Air Force Invitational with PR in 60m and 200m...Placed fifth in 200m at AF Invite with a time of 21.87 but earned a PR in the prelims at 21.79 - good for a share of 16th in CSU History...Finished 14th in the 60m semis at AF Invite, but earned a PR in the prelims at 7.01...Finished third in the 55m at Wyoming Power Meet but had a PR in the prelims of 6.50.

Born in Laguna Hills, CA to parents John and Joy Stephens … His dad played football at the University of California, Santa Barbra (back when they used to have a team)
Has an older brother, Patrick, and younger sister, Paige …Patrick was a wide receiver at the University of Northern Colorado … Chose UCLA because “I already earned my bachelors degree from CSU and I wanted to exercise my 5th year at a high level for athletics. I want to put myself in the best position to become the best version of myself and achieve my goals” … Describes his greatest athletic thrill as when he won the mountain west 100m final … Admires Kobe Bryant has always been my idol. Usain Bolt is somebody I also admire … A fun fact is that he is an artist and the lead singer of a band he also play guitar … You can check out his music on all streaming platforms under the artist name “Krel” … Major is Business Administration
