Bruins to Host Waves Sunday in Makeup Match

LOS ANGELES -- The No. 9 UCLA women's tennis team will host No. 12 Pepperdine Sunday, Feb. 26, in a match previously postponed by rain. Initially scheduled for Feb. 17, the non-conference clash will begin at 2:00 p.m.

UCLA, which suffered a 6-1 loss to the Waves last season (Feb. 18), holds a 54-14 all-time advantage in the series. Pepperdine is represented in the latest ITA/Oracle singles rankings by No. 6 Luisa Stefani, No. 17 Mayar Sherif, No. 25 Ashley Lahey and No. 51 Laura Gulbe. Christine Maddox and Sherif checked in at No. 2 in the latest doubles rankings, one spot ahead of the Bruin pair of Ena Shibahara and Jada Hart. The team of No. 11 Stefani and Apichaya Runglerdkriangkrai is also found in the latest installment.
