ARLINGTON, Texas – No. 1 UCLA rolled to an 11-1 run-rule win over No. 23 Texas A&M on Saturday night at Globe Life Field, delivering a dominant all-around performance.

UCLA (8-2) secured its fifth ranked win of the season while handing Texas A&M (9-1) its first loss. UCLA was in control from start-to-finish, out-hitting its opposition 14-2 on the evening.

All nine starters recorded a hit in the contest, while multi-hit days from Will Gasparino, Mulivai Levu, Roman Martin, Dean West, and Dominic Cadiz highlighted the offensive explosion.

Gasparino strengthened his grip on the national home run lead, crushing his ninth of the season as part of a 2-for-4 day at the plate. Brennan racked up three RBIs and scored another, accounting for a total of four runs in the contest.

Michael Barnett (3-0) shined again, earning his third win after holding the Aggies to one hit and one run over five strong innings while striking out four. The senior right-hander faced just two batters over the minimum through his first four frames.

Wylan Moss closed it out with authority, working the final two innings and allowing only one base runner while punching out three in a pair of scoreless frames.

UCLA jumped on Texas A&M early, striking for four runs on four hits in the first. West, Cholowsky, and Levu opened the inning with three straight singles to plate the game's first run, and with the bases loaded, Brennan added another by lifting a sac fly to bring home Cholowsky. With two outs and runners on second and third, Cashel Dugger battled with two strikes before ripping a double down the left-field line, driving in two more and capping a four-run opening frame.

UCLA got a run back in the second on Jake Duer's solo homer, but this would be the only blemish on Barnett's masterful outing. The Bruins answered in the home half when Martin delivered a two-out, two-RBI single to restore a five-run cushion.

UCLA stretched the lead to six in the fifth when West floated an RBI single into center, bringing home Dominic Cadiz after his double into the right-center gap.

The Bruins then put the game out of reach with a four-run sixth. Brennan opened the surge with an RBI double down the right-field line, and Gasparino delivered the knockout swing moments later, unloading a no-doubt three-run homer to left. The blast pushed the margin to 10, securing the run-rule victory after seven innings and handing Texas A&M its first loss of the season.

UCLA wraps up the weekend tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. PT against No. 3 Mississippi State, with the game streaming on FloSports.
