Woolery Claims Third Big Ten Player of the Week Award
March 09, 2026 | Softball
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Senior infielder Jordan Woolery on the No. 8-ranked UCLA softball team earned her third Big Ten Player of the Week award this season after helping the Bruins (21-3, 3-0 Big Ten) to a sweep of Wisconsin last weekend.
Woolery is the first UCLA player to earn 3+ conference Player of the Week honors in a single season since Maya Brady in 2024.
Woolery led UCLA in base hits (9), runs batted in (9), runs scored (7), home runs (3), doubles (3), total bases (21) and slugging percentage (1.750) over the three victories, extending the Bruins' winning streak to 15 games.
In Game 1 on Friday, Woolery went 4-for-4 with a pair of three-run home runs to match her career high in RBIs with six. Her second homer of the night walked it off for UCLA in five innings in run-rule fashion. The performance marked her fifth-career multi-homer performance and second this season.
Woolery added her third three-run homer of the series in the second inning of Game 2 on Saturday.
She capped the weekend with a historic 4-for-5 performance on Sunday that featured three doubles, tying a UCLA single-game program record that was last accomplished seven seasons ago by Aaliyah Jordan in 2019.
Woolery entered the weekend with just one four-hit game over her previous three years at UCLA, and she added two more such performances under her belt in Games 1 and 3 against the Badgers. Similarly, she had two games with three runs scored in her career prior to the start of the series; she matched that career high in Games 1 and 3 as well.
The Walnut Creek, Calif. native continues to lead the country in RBIs with 50 to her name so far in 2026. She is also third in NCAA Division I with a 1.233 slugging percentage, tied for fourth with 14 home runs and ranks 16th with a .507 batting average (37-for-73).
Woolery and the Bruins begin the second half of their two-week homestand with a contests versus LMU on Wednesday, March 11 at 6 p.m. (PT) at Easton Stadium. Fans can purchase tickets HERE.
